I know that this isn't a proper question for this list, but you guys have been so helpful that I thought that I would give it a try. I was reading an Oracle tutorial last night and it mentioned that the Oracle database engine gave you the ability to create tables from existing tables. I just took a look at the online MySQL manual, and maybe I overlooked it, but I also tried a few commands which I thought were a pretty close match to what Oracle said to use, but I got syntax errors.

Does anyone know if it is possible to create a table in MySQL using select statements on existing tables. Thanx for any response that you guys may give.
