Which is more reliable, using the full Courier Suite (we have 0.32.0 installed atm) or just the Courier IMAP in conjunction with postfix/maildrop?

We are having this problem where it's service gets interupted, mail checking gets denied and mail bounces for short intervals with the full suite, 0.32.0
