What benefit would spammers get from bringing SMTP servers down with DOS style attacks? They make their money by sending mail. If they take recipient servers down, they can't send more mail

Being blacklisted, they cannot send mails anymore on this server... So why would other could do it ?

I'm having trouble understanding what you mean. I think you're suggesting that spammers might retaliate against you because you use blacklists? That seems highly unlikely. First, and primarily, because it doesn't change the situation to their advantage. They're not going to make more money by DOS attacks, so it's unlikely that they'd engage in something that juvenile. Second, they'd probably have to select targets manually, and that doesn't seem to fit their MO, either.
