The Project (http://www.icarz.com/mysql/index.html) actually belongs to Eric Grau <eri...@icarz.com>, I just joined on to help out with what spare time I had. It works great. It goes through libMySQL.dll perfectly. I can now exclude MyODBC, ADO (installation of the MDAC), and a few other misc things from my install, makes me very happy to save 10 megs on the install.
If you look at the projects page so far, it has a connection object, recordset object, field object, and an error object. They all work great. I just finished submitting FindFirst/FindLast/FindNext/FindPrevious methods for the recordset object to Eric for addition into the dll.
Hopefully if we can get others behind this, we can make it do everything we could possibly need.
Gregg

Hi Gregg, I am always willing to help a fellow open source developer. If I can find a little time at the weekends may be I could help out. Have you spoken to Miguel (mig...@mysql.com), because I know he was pretty interested in working on something similar. BTW there are three full time MySQL Windows developers, myself, Miguel and Jorge (jor...@mysql.com). You could sound out Jorge.

If anyone is willing to help with an open source version of this type of control http://www.icarz.com/mysql/index.html has a real nice one, that has been announces on these lsits before. MyVBQL.dll is coming along nicely, and the source is out there for you to play with.
(just my 2 cents, but if at all possible, i would rather have an open source tool, than a commercial one, not attempting to take anything away from SciBit here...)
