I am running win2000 and went to install MySQL 4.1.10. I started by uninstalling MySQL 4.0.20 however, I did not stop the service first! Well, several blunders later, it would seem, I now get the following error: "error 1058: The service cannot be started because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it." I'm sure this supposed to tell me something, but what I don't know. Will someone help please.

Service is starting somewhere in the windows registry. Using Regedit.exe look for keys "Run", "RunService" or similar and delete the key manualy where the value "mysqld*.exe" is writed.
