just a question (perhaps am I totally wrong): are you under Linux with UTF8 char
encoding? Personally I've problems with such a config and always set LANG=de_DE.ISO-8859-1 before running my webtests.

No, I use LANG=en_US (ISO-8859-1) all the time.
