I know there is a lot to do in Eventum ond the time is never enough, however,
here is another little thingy to have in consideration...
Eventum help and information is scattered in several places, listed in order of
importance/usefulness for users looking for answers:
1. wiki 2. users-list 3. devel-list 4. bug-dabase 5. Eventum internal Help 6. Eventum messages next to fields 7. Eventum local docs and INSTALL files
I know how hard it is to have all the information in a single
document/repository, it is even more difficult to keep it distributed and
updated coherently.
-----------------
One thing I find inconsistent and easy to solve is having some "short"
aclaratory messages displayed next to fields. For Example:
-"Note: The current maximum allowed upload file size is 5.0 Mb",
-"If enabled, Eventum will look in the
subject line of incoming notes/emails to determine which issue they
should be associated with."
-"(requires aspell installed in your server)"
-etc.
Many of them are not that short. In some other places, additional help is
displayed as a link to internal help (get context sensitive help) with the [?]
icon, for example
-"Create Issue" (has a lot of them)
-"Customize Issue Listing Screen"
I would like to standarize and use more the [?] icon and centralized internal
Help, instead of messages scattered in several pages.
Best Regards
