it's successful. and then i run: #/usr/bin/mysqladmin -u root -password /usr/bin/mysqladmin: connect to server at 'localhost' failed error: 'Access denied for user: 'root@localhost' (Using password: YES)'

#/usr/bin/mysqladmin -h localhost -u root -password rootpw /usr/bin/mysqladmin: connect to server at 'localhost' failed error: 'Access denied for user: 'root@localhost' (Using password: YES)'

it's not successful.

and then i run: # /usr/bin/mysql Welcome to the MySQL monitor. Commands end with ; or \g. Your MySQL connection id is 3 to server version: 3.23.39

Type 'help;' or '\h' for help. Type '\c' to clear the buffer.
