Jason, you know i completely didnt get what you said on this before and i only now realize that when i sat down to poke it with a stick again

http://r3map.googlemashups.com/

now i have access the newest API version by like you said "source it using a <script> tag" its a little annoying having to get a new api key for each mashup project but oh well

Thankyou

If you want to use GME's gm:tabs component, I recommend using GME to complete your application. Even though the default Maps API version does not support the G_PHYSICAL_MAP GMapType, you can include the newest version of the Maps API directly within your mashup using the technique given in the referenced link. In this way, you can continue to use other GME constructs (e.g. gm:list, gm:tabs, etc.) while also having access to the latest version of the Maps API. Please let me know if you have any questions on how to do this.
