i have the mysql-shareware installed on a win95 box. when i start-up mysqladmin, click on "show me", choose "My.ini" set-up tab, choose "mysqld-shareware", choose "create", choose "save modification", choose "create shortcut on start menu"...everything is OK. when i start the mysqld-shareware from a dos prompt - everything is OK too...("mysqld-shareware", appears in my task window) but, when i attempt to start the mysqladmin from the newly placed link on the start menu...it attempts to dial out to my isp! if i let it everything works - but my isp charges would go through the roof! so i cancel the dialing window - and everything seems to work ok too. except that for EVERY command i issue to mysql it first attempts to dial my isp again!

caceling it everytime i issue a command to mysql has gotten to be a chore!!!

pls., any suggestions will be accepted and appreciated!
