I thought C. Linnaeus was the type for Homo sapiens? (How well preserved

is the holotype? ...I hope Lenin isn't designated the lectotype! >:-)

No, Bob Hope is the designated lectotype.

I think a few of you need to review the Code a little. A type specimen designated by a later author from material not in the original type series is called a neotype. A lectotype is a specimen selected from the original type series.
