I know, but I am not just blindly forwarding all emails sent to the account.

(Forgive me for saving on bandwidth and only quoting the last rule from the .mailfilter file).

The filters do a lot of other things before they get to that last rule.

So my question remains unanswered...

In maildrop it's always a good idea to enclose your expressions in quotes. Ex:

to "!us@domain.com"

See if that works.
