Hello all,

I'm new to this whole gadget thing, and made my first attempt at writing one. I was inspired to make an improved Photo (Slideshow) gadget, similar to the one by the Google Team. However, I have dated and rusty programming skills and haven't written programs now for about 20 years. Just decided to give it a go, for fun, and see what there is to see. Anyway, if you'd like to help me improve this Photo Gadget, please feel free to provide constructive comments and/or helpful coding examples to make it better.

Now, it's not nearly as slick or fast as the Google version, but with time I'm sure it'll make it there. It does have a few more display options, some of which might need documentation, so tinker with it and see what you like/don't like. It also does not display images from the web or from Desktop Search (yet). I could also certainly use some help developing a fast image-resizing plugin or ActiveX control that may help to significantly improve the speed of animations. Or, maybe some help implementing some open-source DLL (like FreeImage) to work with it.
