UK e-GIF Publishes XML Schemas For Use in Local Elections

XML Schemas for local elections have been published by the UK e- Government Interoperability Framework (e-GIF). They have been approved for use by the Office of the e-Envoy. The Schemas represent a UK adaptation of the EML Schemas developed by the OASIS Election and Voter Services TC and incorporate validation using Schematron. Note that xNAL and xNL are the key schemas used as part of EML.
