Using the tip from: http://users.tns.net/~skingery/firefox/GDS_Tips.html#network

I created a file, gds.reg, which is below. My goal is to have a shortcut to kick off a re-index whenever I wanted.

My understanding is that it would (in this example) cause me to re-index the drives "C" (Local) as well as "S" and "R" , which are network drives.

For some reason this does not cause the re-index of these network drives.

Do I need to uninstall and (I hope not) delete the cach file?

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Google\Google Desktop\HistoricalCapture\Crawler] "CQF_FILE"="* |" "CRAWL_IE"="" "CRAWL_FAV"="" "CRAWL_FILE"="" "CRAWL_DIRS"="!C: !R: !S: "
