Hello,

Has anybody on this list tackled the problem of dependency analysis when compiling Java source? We currently use a system built on GNU make, and the system cannot properly detect the targets that need to be built because of the ambiguity of Java's "import" statement (similar to C's "#include"). As a result there is no such thing as a "do nothing" build, and everything is rebuilt every time. Can jam be used to solve this problem?
