Hi guys,
While we're transitioning to a full Eventum-driven system, we're using our existing issue tracking system in parallel with Eventum. So to do this, we have emails routing into Eventum through an address that's been around for years.
Being an old email address, it's on a lot of spammers' lists.
Sometimes, only sometimes, Eventum has trouble with some of these pieces of spam. This trouble manifests itself by eventum continually downloading the emails and sticking them into the "associate mails" page. I came in today after a long weekend to face 1600+ emails in the "associate emails" list. Of these, only 20 were actual issues. Roughly 1550 of these were the same two emails repeated over and over again.
Even after clearing out the list, these emails are still being added every time eventum checks the account for new emails.
Looking at the emails, they're both pretty much the same spam, with names changed. So there's something about the format of these emails that Eventum doesn't like. You can see these emails at http://www.havok.com/1.txt and http://www.havok.com/2.txt
We use POP3 to check the account, and keep the messages on the server, and have it set up to only poll unread emails.
