Hi,

2005-03-03 kl. 18.34 skrev Casto, Robert:

When I issue a START BACKUP command, I see the master node handling the request.

Are the backup files only on this machine or are they on all machines in the cluster?

If only on the master, then how do I instruct the cluster to make backups on more than one machine?

My concern is the case where only one node is making backups and it has a drive problem and I loose my backups.

All nodes participate in the backup. However there is no replication of the files. Thus all data and log files from all nodes involved in the backup (the nodes alive at the time of the start of the backup) are needed to restore. Thus if you need it safeguarded it is necessary to copy the files or keep the files in a place where backups are taken.
