AFAIK Sketchup will only import a fairly small area (read closeup
view) using "Get current view" with Goggle Earth. You might try
zooming GE in close before using "Get current view" in Sketchup. For
example try making the visiable area in GE about the size of a couple
of city blocks or smaller.
BTW "Get current view" is not working correctly in SU 6 for Mac OS X
for me either. I can get the current view but the actual images that
SU6 fetchs are NOT stored in the correct layers. They are all in Layer
0. YMMV
FWIW I switched back to SU 5 till this is fixed.

Hi,
I use the latest versions of SketchUp and GoogleEarth for Mac (just
downloaded them today), as well as the latest version Mac OS X. I open
GoogleEarth, navigate to a location, open SketchUp, click "Get Curent
View". I get a progress bar ("Importing"). When that finishes, SketchUp
zooms onto the dummy person in the model. Apart from that, nothing
seems to happen. No imported picture, nothing.
I looked at the console log, but there are no error messages there. Am
I doing something wrong? What I expect is to see the view I have
selected in GoogleEarth on the x-z plane.
Any help?
Cheers,
Knud
