What about the Gumstix? XScales support ARMv5TE and you can get a "Goliath" add-on for the gumstix which includes a PSP LCD screen, GSM, GPS etc. Again, no Jazelle on the XScale tho. The SVHMPC have been making homebrew phones based on Gumstix boards & Telit GSM modems, although I think most are moving towards the Goliath boards now. If I find some time, I might try the patchset against my i.MX31 development board's kernel, although it doesn't have a working LCD at the moment. ;-(

Benno, any chance of putting the 8000 line patch up somewhere? I'd be quite interested in trying to put a patch together for OpenBinder and see what changes they have made from the tarballed source Rod found on Dianne Hackborn's website. I think a lot of technology is going to come out of Android which is very useful in other places. Specifically OpenBinder & the Surface Manager (X replacement anyone?).
