Hi Dann,

It looks like userprefs and setprefs both are not working now. I went to change the color of my tree frog on google desktop through the options button and it doesn't do a thing.

Has anyone else noticed that userprefs doesn't work on Google Desktop?

Hey Adam,

Unfortunately gadgets rendered inGoogleDesktopcurrently doesn't support setprefs. Gadgets onGoogleDesktopare subject to the same limitations as syndicated gadgets, which means it doesn't support setprefs, dynamic height, and inlined gadgets.

Sorry for the confusion!

Dann

I'm referring to the hidden preferences. This example does not save the value of count after you restartGoogle Desktop:http://www.google.com/apis/gadgets/fundamentals.html#SetPrefs

Hey Adam,

I recently tested this and didn't get the same results. I added a universal gadget, modified theuserprefs(called options indesktop), saved, and restartedGoogleDesktop. Upon restarting, the previous userpref values were restored.

Can you describe a test case where this fails?

Thanks,

Dann
