Unfortunately the p4 user command is controlled by "list" access permission so that won't work ("list" is the most basic permission).

We have a small management problem in our p4 environment. It is too easy create a new p4 user.

We have about 35 users and 37 licenses. We run on mixed NT and Linux clients. Some of our users are *very* new to p4 and it seems to be very difficult to stop them from creating new users all the time. It is also very easy to accidentally create new users when You play around with cron scripts and cgi's.

What I want to know is: Is there an easy way to stop p4 clients from creating p4 users. Or at least make it more difficult. Right now it takes quite a while for the user to realise that there is something wrong. Sometimes it does not happen until they try to check in changes that they checked out as another user. Sometimes it never happens so I have to keep a constant watch.

Any ideas! (And Yes, I have tried education, most people only do this once. But we expect the number of users to increase quite rapidly in the near future).
