The following worked out to be a DNS problem and lots of typo errors. Thanks for lending your ears. Regards Michael

Dear peoples,

Last install I did was with Rh7.3 and courier 0.41 (about 12 months ago) and

it is still working perfectly in a school environment.

Just installed courier 0.45.6 on a RH9 system using stock standard install as per installation instructions. The web pop and imap side of things works a treat. The ESMTP side of things is not working as I cannot send mail (unable to logon to outgoing mail server) using a client such as OUTLOOK. I have checked the ESMTPD, COURIERD AUTHDAEMONRC LOCALS etc... against the working one at school and all check out ok. Is there a know problem with RH9 and latest courier? or have I just overlooked something? Next step will be to install rh7.3 and 0.41 but I was hoping to avoid this. Looking forward to discovering the problem Michael
