Uhhh, I suck. But who knows if the behaviour changes at some point...

I wrote a quite similar autopresponder script, but when reading the docs I thought I should use ":h". Hmm, a close look shows:

If neither 'h' or 'b' is specified, the pattern is matched against the header only.
