Google actually have their own sync for iPhone using MS Exchange (see Google Sync). No need for neuvasync anymore!
What I want isn't something to copy my google calendar, but to fully replace it.

You could use the Horde groupware suite (which comes with a calendar), and then subscribe to your Google Calendar from in there. You could then use Horde to view (any maybe edit, can you edit Google Calendar's ics files?) your calendar, and get it synced with Evolution easily (I believe Evolution comes with inbuilt Google Calendar support.) You could use nuevasync to sync Google Calendar with your iphone (see a guide at http://www.ianfernando.com/2008/sync-google-calendar-with-iphone-3g/), which emulates Microsoft Exchange.

I've been looking at putting together a small server to play with, running a mail server. Then I started wondering about calendars, since I use google calendar to organise myself.
Anyone know how I could go about setting up a web based calendar like google calendar, that I can sync to clients like evolution, and my iPhone? What kind of software is available?
