Ok -- who told you about the option "--with-userdb"? There`s no such publicly selectable option.

Nothing is broken. There is no publicly available option called "--with-userdb". There`s one that`s called "--with-authuserdb", but "close enough" doesn`t really count.

this option: --with-userdb is regular one!

There is written in instalation notes:

--with-authpam, --with-authldap, --with-authpwd, --with-authmysql, --with-au thshadow, --with-userdb, --with-authvchkpw, --with-authcram, --with-authdaem on

There is no publicity available option called --with-authuserdb (there is only --with-userdb and documentation is broken).
