Thanks again. This works perfectly (after I got my permissions right, anyway) Perhapsthere should be management for this under "Outbound ESMTP" in the courierwebadminmodule? I should look into that :)

Thanks, Sam. I figured it would, but how do I set up the esmtpd to do

this? What settingsbelong in the esmtproutes file to get esmtpd to use authentication when routing to anothermailhost (where do I indicate the username and password?). I could not find this in thedocumentation, or does esmtpd not support this as of yet?

In esmtproutes:

:smarthostname.example.com

Meaning smarthost all mail through this server. Then in esmtpauthclient:

smarthostname.example.com userid password

Use 'userid' and 'password' to authenticate through this smarthost. See

courier(8) man page.
