Dear sir/maam, I have recently downloaded MySql for Win Nt workstation but am unable to start
any of the services as the red light keeps glowing & does not change to green, i have
installed MySql in my E drive i a folder called mysql,while installing there was a message saying that if i am installing in a drive other than C then
i should create a C:\MY.CNF file with the following info: [mysqld] basedir=E:/installation-path/

I created the CNF file in the notepad & saved the above info.There was another
piece of info in the installation window which said that i should use the my-example.cnf file created in the mysql dir as the starting point for
my own "my.cnf" file i am unable to understand this particular direction,despite trying all possible options i am unable to get the services to
start running & the red light keeps glowing also if i install the s/w in my C drive it works perfectly but i want to install it in some other
drive kindly help me out.
