I've just build courier-imap-1.2.2 on Solaris 2.7 and am having trouble with it authenticating via LDAP.

Ok I just got it working and I'm still puzzled. I had asked a while back if setting AUTHBIND was more efficient as it did a bind with the password directly. I had set up the linux version with AUTHBIND=1. When I set up the Solaris version I left AUTHBIND commented out.

I just tried the Linux version with AUTHBIND commented out and it won't authenticate against ldap either now. What's up with that? I thought AUTHBIND wasnt needed.
