Okay, I understand. I agree... when you get the edo=1 nodes, knowing not just the referenced_nodes' names but each edo's claimed_nodes would be useful. I agree. That's just not precomputed currently, so it can't be returned quickly enough (at least how I've set things up). In any case, that's something I want to be able to deliver to you in one HTTP request.
Not sure I understood that but a key use case for central aggregation of FOAF and XFN is to be able to answer the question "who says they know me". Is that a goal of the SocialGraph API?
The Social Graph's API is to make public social information available and useful. If "who says they know me" is useful, then that's one of the Social Graph API's goals. :-)
I understand that certain useful queries now require more than one HTTP request. If we identify common patterns that require too many HTTP requests, I'd like to look into moving those algorithms server-side, reducing round-trips.
