Its all preliminary however, the OASIS e-gov member section Steering Committee is looking at the following
The core focus of the Workshop The date and the location The duration - probably 2 days The target audience The appropriate means of contact to the Emergency Management Member Section The budget and ways in which the Workshop could be funded.
Based on preliminary discussions, the eGov Steering Committee has considered the possible location of the 2011 workshop in either Canada or in Geneva.

Please see the following email from our friend and former EM-TC member Eliot Christian with the World Meterological Organization (WMO). He has done a superb job on the referenced UTube video about CAP. He has let me know that it can be distributed widely as it is not encumbered in any way. Enjoy!
He also notes that there is talk of a CAP implementers workshop in 2011. I have let him know that we are interested and to please keep us posted.

I am writing to organizations that might want to participate in another
CAP Implementers Workshop, sometime in 2011. If you are interested in participating, please let me know.
Also, we recently posted an introductory video about CAP at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0iKp60jjtY It describes how CAP serves
as the base standard for all-media public warning. Designed for all-hazards alerting, CAP is being implemented worldwide for weather, floods, earthquakes, public health, and other emergencies.
The video also notes the new "Register of Alerting Authorities" at http://www.wmo.int/alertingorg
Please forward this note to other persons and mailing lists relevant to
public alerting for emergencies.
