I'm switching over from procmail to maildrop. About the only thing I need to do that I can't get working is to have maildrop deliver to spamc. Can anyone point me to some documentation or give me a clue. I couldn't find anything on the spamassassin site, so I figured I'd try here.

xfilter "/usr/bin/spamc"

That worked. It was too simple for me to ever have thought of it. ;-)

maybe you want to add a "-f". without that spamc will return a failure if the daemon is not running. probably not what you want.

I don't have an answer for that one,but I did substantially reduce cpu time when I used procmail by having all the mail lists *no* sent to spamc. Now I'll work on doing that with maildrop so I can get ready for Monday.

that would be too difficult to differentiate between mails :) at the moment there is enough cpu... so i will shift that problem to the future ;-)
