I don't have any problems when using O/E with Courier-IMAP.

Also, after earching the M$ KB, it seems that the only way to have SENT sent to a sent mail folder is by using a rule/filter.

1. On the Tools menu, click Rules Wizard, and then click New. 2. Click to select Check Messages After Sending, and then click Next. 3. Click to check the Uses The "Form Name" Form check box. 4. Click on the underlined "form name" in the Rule Description box. 5. Click to select Application Forms, and then click to select Message. Click Add, click Close, and then click Next. 6. Click the "Move a copy to the specified folder" check box. 7. Click to select the "specified" folder in the Rule Description box 8. Click to select or create a folder on your IMAP server. Click OK, and then click Next. 9. Click Next again, and then specify a rule name. Click Finish, and then click OK.

I've tried Outlook, Outlook Express and Eudora5.0 for our PC users. So far, I have not seen an option in any email client to set a SENT mail folder for IMAP.

With Outlook-Express the folder used by default is "Sent Items". Look at your account properties and select the IMAP tab. Verify you have entered INBOX in the "Root folder path". Next, check you have a tick in "Store special folders on IMAP server (this is the default). You should also have an entry in "Sent Items path" & "Drafts Path". Look for folders of these names on your IMAP server.

I couldn't find an option in Eudora 5 to do this automagically so I simply created a Filter that moved the message from the local directory to "Sent Items" on the IMAP server.

Whilst we are talking about Outlook Express, has anyone got O/E to work properly with Courier-IMAP. I'm not imply Courier-IMAP is at fault as it seems very apparent the O/E is the one with all the problems. I've been testing with O/E version 5.00 then decided to upgrade to 5.5 in the hope of making the problems disappear - boy was that a mistake, its worse now than when I was using 5.0.

Netscape-6 appears to work happly with Courier-imap-1.2.3 without having to compile with work-arounds.

Cheers,
