Quick question - I have a functioning IMAP/IMAP-SSL courier-imap server. Problem is, all IMAP related processes are called by root. I'm on freebsd 4.0. Im wondering, how, after I create a user like "courier-imap", to get "him" to run the 2 startup scripts (Imapd.rc.sh and imapd-ssl.rc.sh) so that my system is more secure. Also, would i need to change permissions on stuff like the maillog and/or other files for this to work?

And, make sure to tell me if what I want to do would be more of a pain then the acctual worth of the security benefits.

Thanks,

Jacob
