Hi!

No, there is no firewall. After "courier start" "netstat -anp" does not show anything listening on port 25!

*bug*: I downloaded courier-0.37.2.20020131 source, and did everything written in install.html.

Hi!

I am new to Courier, but I want to use it :-))

I did step-by-step things in install.html and there was no problems until the "post-installation checks". The "Test child process termination" test failing. I think the porblem is that "courier start" does not start any programs listening on port 25. (In log: "... connection refuse/... status: deferred")

Maybe I something did wrong? Or something is missing from the install.html?

Please CC to me too.

ps: there is a little "bug" in courier.html: it talks about files in /etc/courier, but the files are in courier/etc.

Do you have port 25 firewall'd off? this can cause it to fail I would suspect.

Also, the *bug* depends on how you install. RPM installs have the config files in /etc/courier/* so perhaps the documentation could list both.
