Hi
I've been using Ubuntu for a few years now and so far have generally been able to find out which hardware is going to work and which isn't.
I've recently been looking to get a webcam to better stay in touch with a couple of people that I know who've moved over seas. There seems to be a bewildering amount available and not masses of information available about which ones will function under Ubuntu.
Does anyone have any they can recommend? I'm looking to spend no more than £20 if possible. Also any tips on where to get them at the best prices would be most welcome. I've checked Scan, Overclockers and Amazon so far but if anyone else has any tips that'd be cool.
Thanks very much in advance.
Tom

ok, i have two webcams, both use gspca, and in 8.10, it simply doesnt work,
gspca seems broken,
so i would be carefull on a webcam that uses gspca.
