Worked like a charm. Thanks for the quick turnaround Sam!

Have you ever considered having an Amazon.com wish list, or some similar thing, like Tobias Oetiker does for MRTG (see www.mrtg.org under the heading "License & MRTG Appreciators")?

I'm sure many of us would like a way to say thanks for developing such a great product.

Did you remember to run makealiases without any options? makealiases -dump does not update the aliases database.

Yep. I just added a new alias and then ran makealiases, the timestamp on the file was updated. And a "strings aliases.dat" shows that the new alias was added. So it appears that everything is working fine on that front.

This one turned out to be one of those "not a bug but a feature" type of a deal, that involved certain sensitive differences between the machine hostname, and the contents of some of your configuration files.

You can either apply the following one-line patch, or download the following snapshot:

ftp://courier.sourceforge.net/pub/courier/courier/courier-0.27.200

00925.tar.gz

Run makealiases after doing either one, and aliases will work just fine.
