Hi,
I have a problem whereby if I do a mysqldump <database name> and dump the output into a file, when I try to restore the backup I lose the DATE fields on certain tables, and only certain tables. I have no idea why this is a happening though I have tried everything I can to rectify it, without hope. The only way I can preserve the dates is to tar up the entire database *.ISM, *.ISD files and un-tar them when restoring the backup.
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Is there a way around this?
Many thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
Regards Al

This is weird. Send info on your OS version, C and thread libs version, version of MySQl, and how have you built it , including compiler version.
Do include mysqlbug report with it.
