I think the problem might be related to your version of MySQL. Thats why Bryan asked you about which version you are using.

We have had some problems with declarations like "NOT NULL DEFAULT NULL" in sql-statements (when creating or altering tables). Maybe '' is treaded like null in your db...

Anyhow, I went trough the installer this morning without any problems at all! It's on MySQL server version: 5.0.38

Hi all,

I am having a working installation of 1.7.1. But while trying to do a fresh install of 2.0.1, the setup fails - please refer to my earlier posting below. While I could see that quite a few of you have got 2.x up and running, I have not found any other posting with a solution for this in the discussion list. Please help.

Thanks and rgds, Watson

Hi Bryan,

I am also getting the same error (details below) on fresh install of 2.0.1 (just downloaded). The version of MySQL I have is "MySQL 5.0.27-community-nt via TCP/IP".

I even tried installing 1.7.1 and then upgrade to 2.0.1. I get a blank page after clicking the "Perform Database changes" link (under <eventum-url>/misc/v1.7.1_v2.0). I guess that this is also related to the same error.

What is the solution? Please help.

Thanks and rgds, Watson

when setting up eventum.

I'm currently running eventum 1.7.x on th same computer using mysql database and thats working fine, would just love to give this beta a go since the developers really fixed a lot of issues i'm havinging with 1.7.x.

Any help would be welcomed.

What version of MySQL are you running?
