Summary: Guest domain gets unresponsive after running for some time Product: Xen Version: unstable Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux-2.6 Status: NEW Severity: blocker Priority: P1 Component: Guest-OS AssignedTo: xen-@lists.xensource.com ReportedBy: fsan@mediacapital.pt

Hi, We're running XEN 3.1 on a intel core 2 quad (Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5345 @ 2.33GHz). OS: OpenSuse 10.3 Kernel both host and guest: 2.6.22.5-31-xen. Packages: xen-3.1.0_15042-51 kernel-xen-2.6.22.5-31 xen-libs-3.1.0_15042-51 xen-tools-3.1.0_15042-51

We have 3 guests running. At some point, apparently random, a guest will become unresponsive. There's nothing on the logs that suggest any problem on the host and guest before/after the crash. When the guest is in an unresponsive state, it's still running as far as the host is concern. The xm top command shows the guest in question with 399% CPU usage. We are also still able to get into its console but the virtual server is completely frozen.

Thanks,

Filipe Santa-Clara
