I have seen similar problems when working in a mixed Unix and VMS environment. A double slash crept in and was a bit of a pain to remove.

We have had problems resulting from double slashes in filespecs. Has anyone else had difficulty with this? I've reported it to support; I would like Perforce to utterly forbid such things. Does anyone positively use double slashes in filespecs?
