Hi There,

I just installed CanooWebTest Release 1.7 build number R_751. When I run selftests using: ant -f build.xml, I get an error stating, Deployment Server is not available. I have installed Tomcat 5.028 and have configured the same. Not sure why still I am getting this error. Please get back to me on this. The installTest passed for CanooWebTest. not sure what u need here so u might have to part with a little more info :) Do u have a web based system? (jsp/htmls etc) if yes then u can use webtest - else not! Do u want to actually *see* the actions happening? A browser opening up? A form being filled in? Are you looking for a front end? or gui for webtest? unfortunatelly there isnt any... :( you have to use it on the commandline - and there isnt a running away from this (yet!)

but it does have plenty of advantages - :D

let us know ur exact reqmnts - and we can give u more info too!

Hi Dierk,

I'm surprised that I haven't become any answer from you on different suggestions I've made. I think that webtest is a great tool and that it can be improved to be greater. I've some ideas of improvments related to my needs. I could incorporate them in webtest but as it is your (?) baby, I don't want to impose my opinion on you and I think decisions should be taken after a consensus appears.

I'm sorry for being so unresponsive. I just have too much open ends to follow at the moment.

Your latest suggestions sound very promising from the usage point of view. The logic seems to be fairly complex to write and test. However, I have no doubt that you can handle the challenge
