Hi Samuel,

0.8 is largely compatible with 0.7, so if you write applications with 0.7, you should be able to easily modify them to use the 0.8 spec. With that in mind, if you're developing in the iGoogle sandbox, you should continue to use 0.7 until we announce that 0.8 is available.

The new version of iGoogle launching in June will contain only the new interface and large canvas view. Social features will launch through the summer. You can watch this group and the blog:
http://igoogledeveloper.blogspot.com/ for announcements as summer approaches.

Best, Dan

I've noticed that the OpenSocial API reference page has been updated to use 0.8 instead of 0.7. Should we begin developing using the new version? Will 0.8 be available to the "new" iGoogle launching in the next month?
