Subject:[p4] "Back loading" old versions into an existing depot.

We moved to perforce about 6 months ago, at the time whomever was in charge decided to only migrate the then head of a VSS database into p4 (call it version 2). The head of perforce has now advanced to version 4 of the product. We are now faced with having to trying to work with a pre-version 2 of the product (lets say version 1.4).

The question I have is: Is there anyway to now go back and migrate the entire VSS database into perforce "underneath" us? Or instead of migrating the VSS database can I somehow load just the 1.4 version of code manually?

We are at least fortunate that no customer anywhere has any version other than 1.4 or 2.0 or up. So I do not really *need* any version other than 1.4 "back loaded", if it's easy I'd of course want all the history available, but I'm thinking that it won't be easy.

In short, I have a depot that starts at 2.0, I want to shoe-horn in one earlier version (1.4) and I want to do it such that history on "head" files track all the way back to 1.4. How?

Needless to say I'm rather annoyed at the folks that failed to do the migration at the time.
