Subject:[p4] Large amounts of Binary data and archiving....

We've recently started using Perforce. We write game apps so have large amounts of binary data ( 3DMax, bitmaps, wav, mp3, etc). Currently, we have 3-4 projects active at a time.

One projects data/one version == 50GB.

Currently, we insert the data into Perforce as <binary+S> ... we would like to start versioning this information. However, there doesnt appear to be any way to "archive" and remove back revisions. We can probably tolerate 3-4 versions on the server at a time (~200GB per project).

The problem is that there does not seem to be a way to remove back revisions. The database/file system simply continues to grow.

Any thoughts as to how to overcome this limitation?

thanks in advance. G Kearney EA/Maxis
