You make a very good point. However, the great thing and maybe a
downfall of Google transit (gt) is that agencies are responsible for
submitting their own feeds. Each agency is responsible for providing
as much information as they want, from the minimum requirements to
very detailed feeds. For example, If you've had some time to search
google.com/transit, you might have noticed that Japan's transit system
includes all regional and national rail networks, domestic airlines
and ferries.
The question we might want to ask is "How can Google encourage other
countries to participate in Google Transit".
