Just a note to mention that we have a perforce server on unix (solaris ultra 2) serving NT clients and it seems to work very well. We have one depot and about 60 users. I am not aware of any problems with filenames and case sensitivity. The only thing I can imagine is NT scripts which mangle case then accessing the server and not finding things, but I've never actually seen anything like this happening.
