Marco,

I am not sure it is possible with just 2 machines. The problem being that the
manager needs to know if the nodes are up or down. If the manager is on one of
those nodes, then there is no way to determine this. Alex Davies has researched
this pretty well and could probably chime in with more info.

I am glad to see that you have the 3 machine setup working though.

I've build a new setup with 3 machines, one mgmd, two nodes, and this one works perfectly as long as only one machine fails (using NoOfReplicas=2).

But I still want to get a system running which only needs two machines. Protecting from split brain situations due to network failure as mentioned by Mikael is not neccessary as this will be done from the application.

Perhaps someone has some hints how to get a 2 machine setup stable and beautiful (smiling to Ted).
