Hello!
My new courier installation seems to be working perfectly, save for one
small issue. When sending out a message from my workstation to the outside
world, and have my courier machine set as the smtp server, It takes between
25 and 30 seconds to contact it. This is true no matter the client I use.
Once it's contacted it flies right through the accepting data and sending,
and sends it right out of the queue. Pop3 works fine, and works
immediately. Any mail coming into that machine from the internet is
handled immediately. It's just the outgoing that's being initially
delayed. My firewall isnt blocking anything, no log entries saying that
the originating IP is doing anything unallowed. I thought that maybe
shutting off the BOFHCHECKDNS would do the trick as maybe the DNS reverse
resolving was taking some time. nope, still delayed. I dont know what's
causing the delay, any ideas?
Kindest Regards,
Bill
BTW - I LOVE the mysql authentication... rocking!
