Hi all.

I am currently gathering information about migration from Courier IMAP Maildir to Dovecot Maildir. In my users files' I have found file courierimapacl an dir courierimaphieracl. File courierimapacl is connected with http://www.courier-mta.org/maildiracl.html an I understand its purpose. What about courierimaphieracl directory? What is it used for? What files go into this directory?

Folder access control lists. They are defined in RFC 2086. The maildiracl command is basically a command line interface to manipulate and set the same ACLs that the IMAP server uses to control access to folders.

They are for the IMAP server's internal use, for implementing ACLs; their contents are not really documented formally.
